At Leonardo Yachts, we believe that purchasing a new Eagle should be an exciting and enjoyable experience from beginning to end. That is why we place great importance on ensuring that the transport and handover process runs as smoothly and comfortably as possible. Over the years, we have delivered Eagles all around the world and have gained extensive experience in (international) yacht transport and handling.

With 100 Eagles sailing worldwide, we understand exactly what is required to safely and efficiently deliver your yacht to her new home destination.

Every Eagle begins her journey at our shipyard in Sneek, The Netherlands. Once all work on the yacht has been completed, we prepare her for transport and delivery. Our team ensures that all equipment is placed on board and that your Eagle is carefully packed and well protected for transport. Together with the transport company and, when required, customs authorities, we also make sure that all paperwork is properly arranged so your Eagle can be delivered to you smoothly and ready for her next adventure.

Once this is completed, the yacht will be loaded onto a truck at our facility. For yachts staying within Europe, transport is usually completed entirely by road, with the yacht being delivered directly to her final destination.

For Eagles destined for locations outside Europe, the yacht is first transported by truck to a commercial port. There, she is carefully loaded onto a cargo vessel for overseas transport. Upon arrival at the port closest to her final destination, the yacht is unloaded and once again placed onto a truck to complete the final part of her journey to her new owner.

To ensure that both the transport and handover process go as smoothly as possible, a member of the Leonardo Yachts team is present on location to personally receive your Eagle. Our team assists with unloading and launching the yacht, rigs and prepares her for delivery, and ensures that she is ready to sail and handover.

During the handover, we take the time to walk through the yacht together with you and provide all the necessary information about the systems, equipment, and handling of your Eagle. We want every owner to feel fully prepared and confident before setting sail for the very first time.
